Women’s Holistic Healing is hosting a class that focuses on care of self:
The ArvigoR Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy’s Self-Care Training Level I
Trish DeTura, RN, Certified Nurse-Midwife, Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, C-ATMAT, Community-Based Educator, and Self-Care Instructor
When: January 26, 9am-8pm and January 27, 9am-7pm
Where: 185 Center Ave. 2nd fl. Westwood, New Jersey 07675
This fun-filled two and a half-day interactive, hands-on course covers:
- History and lineage of the Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy ®
- Anatomy and physiology of the abdominal and reproductive organs,
- PMS, painful periods, painful intercourse, irregular periods, Pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, fertility challenges, and menopause
- Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy, Erectile Dysfunction
- Digestive issues of constipation, IBS and indigestion are covered
- Causes and symptoms of mal- positioned organs,
- Herbal and nutritional support
- Maya Culture and Spirituality as a part of ATMAT ®
- Meditation
- How to perform a vaginal steam
- How to perform a perineal steam
- How to work with Castor oil
- Wearing a faha
- Each participant shall receive a free 30 minute private session for personal instruction as well as workbook to take notes in
This class is open to anyone; you do not need to be a health-care provider to attend
Continuing education credits are available!
Self-Care Level I is approved by NCBTMB for massage therapy (17.5CEhours), and NCAAOM for acupuncture (16PDA points) and MEAC for midwives (17CEhours). *This course is for self-care only; it does not teach clinical applications. It is a prerequisite for advancement to Professional Care Training Level 2.
