Hi, I’m Trish DeTura a Board Certified Nurse Midwife with more than 30 years of experience in the community as a nurse, midwife educator and Integrative Functional Medicine Practitioner.

I celebrate a woman's reproductive lifecycle:
supporting women with their first menstrual cycles, throughout their pregnancies, postpartum periods and menopause.
I educate women about their bodies and how to address physical challenges:
unraveling the mysteries of the feminine body and how to address physical issues such as PMS, irregular or painful periods, ovarian cysts, fibroids, fertility challenges, pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, and the discomforts of menopause.
I counsel women who are healing from very difficult experiences:
working with women who have experienced sexual abuse (in childhood or adulthood), incest, rape, and traumatic births. Together we identify triggers that may present mental and emotional challenges (especially as they may affect pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding) and we develop strategies to overcome them.

All of these are moments in a woman’s life that deserve to be supported.

Women’s Holistic Healing brings together my expertise, wisdom and skill of decades of working with women. My background includes nursing, nurse-midwifery, massage therapy, homeopathic and herbal medicine, and abdominal massage.

I worked with women in hospital and clinical settings for decades. I saw clearly what is missing there: the luxury of getting to know my clients by listening with my heart to what was both spoken and unspoken. When I developed a private practice, I put careful listening at the center. I am now able to offer more holistic and comprehensive treatment plans than I could before, including herbal medicine suggestions, homeopathy, and Bach Flower remedies.

My life mission is helping women heal in order that we may have stronger, healthier families. When a woman is centered and happy everyone benefits: her family and her community.

After almost a year and a half of trying, could this possibly be the moment? We bought 5 more pregnancy tests…ridiculous, I know…but I just couldn’t believe my eyes. All 5 came back positive. An ultrasound confirmed our good news the first week in July!! The ultrasound confirmed that my uterus was no longer tilted either!! I called Trish immediately with the good news.

It took me over a year to get the courage to call Trish for a holistic care visit. I had unexplained infertility issues in addition to traumatic labor and delivery with my first child. I knew about her services and how valuable those were but was so hopeless that I couldn't have made up my mind even to try. Had I known that many changes would happen in my body and mind, I would have called the second I learn[ed] about her.

From the first consultation call to our last session, Trish has been very resourceful and satisfying with her deep knowledge and willingness to share her knowledge with me.

She takes her time to listen to you and focus on what you have to say in order to connect with you and provide the necessary treatment(s) for your body. The sessions are long and Trish makes sure you are not rushed. I had an unhealthy period with lots of other "medically normal/cleared (!)" complaints which made me uncomfortable such as long spotting, severe cramps etc. After our treatment, I have a perfectly healthy period and a better connection with my body. Upon her recommendations, I even got my beautiful waistline back, which I had forgotten about due to diastasis recti.

Above all, Trish helped me to come in terms with my delivery trauma, face my fears, and accept my reality to make it better for me and my family.
She is more than a holistic practitioner for me but has become a trusted friend. I am grateful that our paths have crossed! Now, I have become a better, stronger woman than I first met Trish!

I met Trish after many years of struggling with infertility as well as terrible menstrual symptoms. I was preparing for the next step in my infertility journey- my first round of IVF (all other treatments had failed). My uterus was misaligned (retroverted), which was likely contributing to my situation. I was immediately comfortable with Trish. I felt as though I was visiting with an old friend. I especially appreciated that she really listened to my whole story and was so empathetic. After one treatment with Trish, my next pelvic ultrasound showed that my uterus was aligned normally.
